Sea salt particles float in coastal air and stick to all exposed metal surfaces. Over time, busbar joints oxidize, contact resistance rises, and hotspots form under full load operation.
2. Night-day temperature difference creates heavy internal condensation
Open-air solar substations heat up sharply in daytime sun. When night temperature drops, moist air penetrates cabinets and forms dew on insulation parts, easily causing flashover faults.
